Torque control of the C-RAD tool is achieved by adjustment of the air pressure via a lubro installed between the air compressor and torque tool. Each unit is supplied with a standard 3 metre length of reinforced hose ) extended lengths of hose can be provided on request).
All Christie lubro units work on the same basic principle but adaptations are common place to overcome industrial problems:
The standard lubro reduces moisture content, sets the air pressure and lubricates
the air supply
On sites where water in air hoses is a real problems units are supplied with an
integrated heavy duty water filter.
For added protection against the rough and tumble of site work, and to prevent tampering of preset air pressures, the caged and lockable models are a popular choice.
Remote operation lubros, with manual valve construction, are supplied when direct access to the tool is restricted.
Christie lubro units are compatible with all makes and models of pneumatic tooling.
