Application: Pressing of bearings into a king post casting
Problem:
- Replacement of existing, dated system, with modifications and improvements
- Bronze bearings require pressing into the casting with precision
- Reinforcement lugs on the casting are an obstruction
Solution:
- Push plates milled to the contour of the casting for exact fit
- Custom made 10 ton hydraulic cylinder – shorter body required for the unit to fit within the king post

- Location tab on the push plate to prevent rotation and ensure correct position
- Bespoke cylinder
