2 Stage Offset Gearbox

Application: Tightening and un-tightening flange stud bolts

Problem:

• Stud bolts are partially obscured by nearby flange profiles
• More than a thousand tightening and un-tightening operations are to be made - conventional hydraulic tooling is considered to be too slow. Therefore, in order to complete the works in the time scale allowed, a quicker alternative was required.

Solution:

• Special 2-stage offset gearbox designed for use in conjunction with a high speed C-RAD Pneumatic Torque Wrench
