• Tightening/un-tightening of bolts on an underground train bogie frame

Problem:

• Difficult access to the bolts on the bogie frame caused by beam & sole-bar obstructions
• Health & safety issues associated with tightening/un-tightening of the bolts manually
• Avoiding damage to the high grade Aluminium section of the bogie system during tightening/un-tightening of the bolts

Solution:

• Straight reaction platform for tightening/un-tightening of 55mm A/F bolts (position of wrench can be altered to suit each bolt)
• Cranked reaction platform for tightening/un-tightening of 75mm A/F bolt
