Application:

• Lifting Underground Train Bogies by up to 50mm to allow general maintenance and skimming of wheels

Problem:

• Height and width restrictions on the train and within the Depot Maintenance Area
• Unreliable & overcomplicated existing hydraulic system with split flow pump
• Existing hydraulic system is expensive to maintain/replace
• Existing system is also cumbersome (too heavy), making handling difficult
• Variable height of railway lines within the workshop

Solution:

• 4 x 10 tonne, 54mm stroke, single acting hydraulic lifting system

Features:

• Different sized units for manoeuvring flexibility within the Maintenance Area
• Electrically actuated hydraulic power packs
• Supplied with adjustable support stands, allowing lifting system to be removed and used on other train units
• Supplied with packers to allow for variable heights 
• Controlled lowering system
• Two position jacking setting for alternative rail heights
• Braked wheels for extra stability
